    list of attendees
The Workshop will take place at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach in Miami Beach, Florida. This is a beautiful facility located on the beach and a short walk from the famous strip of restaurants and night clubs for which South Beach is famous.

We have reserved a limited number of rooms at the special reduced rate of $185 per night. This rate applies for those attendees arriving on or after Sunday, 1 June 2008 and departing on or before Saturday, 7 June 2008. Given this venue and the interest in this Workshop, we urge you to make your reservations as soon as possible.

To make your hotel reservations for the Workshop, please go to:

and navigate to the reservations for the South Beach Hotel or you may go directly to our hotel's reservation link at:
    South Beach reservation link

Use this web page to enter your arrival date (1 June or later) and your departure date (7 June or sooner).

If you would like to stay longer, this rate is available on a limited basis for 2 nights before and 2 nights following the Workshop. However you will need to make those reservations separately by phone and reference our workshop and group code. In this case U.S. and Canadian residents should call 1-800-542-8680. All others may find the reservation number for their country at:
reservations by phone (outside U.S. & Canada)
The Fisher Room will be arranged with a large conference table and chairs seating about 30 people and will be available all week for splinter meetings. You can reserve this room through one of the NGS hosts upon arrival.
Posters will be posted in or near the workshop meeting space. The format is landscape mode with dimensions: 60 inches (W) by 40 inches (H) or 1.5 m (W) by 1 m (H).

Due to space limitations, posters will be displayed for two-day blocks. Posters for sessions on Monday or Tuesday will be up for those two days; posters for Wednesday or Thursday sessions will be up for both those days. Presenters should please put up their posters first thing on Monday and Wednesday mornings. Here is the schedule for poster displays.

Standard audio-visual projection equipment with laptop PC (Windows) will be available for oral presentations. Presenters should arrive with their presentations available in ppt or pdf formats on a USB thumbdrive. The files will be retained for posting at this site.

In addition to refreshments during the morning and afternoon breaks, NGS will provide complimentary buffet lunches on Monday, 2 June through Thursday, 5 June, as well as breakfast on Friday, 6 June. Other meals are the responsibility of attendees. There are many fine dining establishments in the vicinity of the hotel.

NGS will also host a welcome reception Monday evening, 2 June.

1 May 2008 — room reservations at the Ritz-Carlton must be made
1 May 2008 — notice for poster papers must be submitted
1 May 2008 — registration of attendance requested
16 May 2008 — program plans & position papers due from session conveners
The most convenient airport is the Miami International Airport (MIA) .

There is no direct bus or shuttle transportation from MIA to the hotel. It is best to plan on taking a taxi, which should cost around $30 to $35.

It is not recommended that participants rent cars for their stay at the Ritz-Carlton since they should not be needed for travel in the Miami Beach area around the hotel. Parking can be quite expensive.
