Real-time Precise Point Positioning supported with high-resolution troposphere models based on Numerical Weather Prediction

Workshop 2017 - Tomasz Hadas - We developed a regional troposphere model to support real-time PPP. The model is based on Numerical Weather Prediction model and near real-time GNSS troposphere delays. It also provides troposphere mapping functions obtained with ray-tracing technique. The model was validated on 14 stations in Poland during three weeks of different troposphere conditions. We compared our approach with some standard strategies for real-time PPP. Our approach results in average reduction of 3D bias by 20 and 10 mm, in static and kinematic mode, respectively, and in shortening of the convergence time by 13% for horizontal and 20% for vertical components.
