Adaptability of GPS BDS Broadcast Ionospheric Models to Solar Activity

Workshop 2017 - Na Cheng - This study concerns the analysis of the adaptability of GPS/BDS broadcast ionospheric model in China during the high solar activity years 2014-2015. In this work, more than three hundred solar flares are investigated, and the effect of twelve X-class and M-class large solar flares on ionospheric total electron content (TEC) were analyzed. The TEC data which obtained from a regional GPS network in China are used to calculate the TEC increment and TEC data at a rate of change of 1 min, ROT caused by solar flares.
