Workshop 2017

Near-Real Time Zenith Total Delay Estimation System Using GPS with Precise Point Positioning Strategy in Australian Region

July 4, 2017 • 546 Views

Workshop 2017 - Michael Moore - It is well documented that there are sub-groups of antenna PCV characteristics within antenna types which depart significantly from the official antenna type mean. It is also well known that near-field effects have a significant impact on the modeled antenna PCV. We will provide further evidence supporting these findings from calibrations carried out at Geoscience Australia. We will give an overview of the impact of not applying individual antenna models. We will then provide recommendations on the best practice to support the introduction of individual antenna calibrations within the IGS, as well as provide recommendations on the application of GNSS antenna calibrations that will result in a clear pathway to improve the accuracy and precision of IGS products.
